the combat system is not flawed, its simply trying to do something new with the old combat system used in most games, which works very well compared to old button smashing action </description>

last thing is recal is that most rpgs (mostly consoles) are all about button smashing 
plus, games have been using this kind of combat system for a while (taking out the pause option) and its still as good as ever </description>
