Not clear wether BioWare reveals release date by accident or on purpose
The retail review copies of Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening, the first boxed expansion for the critical acclaimed RPG hit by BioWare, are being sent to the major gaming magazines. Reportedly, those boxes contain a flyer revealing the previously confirmed release date of another DA title.
Both, BioWare and Electronic Arts have not yet confirmed or even commented on this rumor which is already circulating and spreading all over the internet.
GameSpot says:
As can been seen in the photo, the flyer shows the series’ iconic blood-red dragon.
However, instead of being shown from the side with one wing, it is shown head on, so two wings are visible. In the upper-right hand corner, the date “02.01.2011″ is displayed.
In North America, that translates to February 1, 2011.
However, the revealed release date might also refer to an iPhone-like spin-off. There was a 80ies song called “All we can do is sit and wait” …

I'd prefer more expansions myself. That way BioWare has longer to see what works and what doesn't with their original game. The more feedback, the better the second game will be.
Of course, all these Dev Questions they keep posting could be recon' for Dragon Age 2.

I would prefer it to be an expansion. I know that it don't have to be true, but I think that 2 years of development (on the other hand, it is hard to say how much concepts for DA universe they had finished by the time they released DA:O…) for game like what I expect DA2 to be are not enough. If it is the case, I hope they'll prove me wrong :) .

All this "was this on purpose" talk is getting redundant. With the Awakening's expansion is was the same, although much less clear than in this case.

Hmm, who cares actually. If it is a big DLC or a new version of Dragon Age; people will either way buy it. Still I would like to have the next Dragon Age this date.
