With Dragon Age 2 on the horizon, there’s quite a bit of news to keep up with as more and more information about the game becomes available. While not everything is worthy of its own article, here at greywardens.com, we want to keep you in the know about what’s going on in the world of Dragon Age news. Each week we’ll recap some of the week’s stories in brief with links to keep you on top of all things Dragon Age.

So what’s happening this week? The San Diego Comic Con brought us some first looks at Dragon Age 2, a reveal of a new DLC package for Origins as well as plenty of other shenanigans.

[News] Dragon Age 2 Preview: GameInformer landed an exclusive DA2 preview in its July issue. We gave a review of their 10-page spread.

[News] Dragon Age 2 Demo: BioWare let visitors to the Comic Con get hands on with a gameplay demo of Dragon Age 2, letting you take control of Hawke and his sister Bethany to tear up some darkspawn. A greywardens.com fan, Aakduce, gave us a first-hand recount and we also recapped some first impressions from IGN, which was later clarified by BioWare’s staff.

[News] The Golems of Amgarrak: Also at Comic Con, BioWare had a demo for an upcoming DLC release. This combat-intensive package promises to be grueling to beat and should challenge players to really think strategically. Not much information is available, but we’ve got a first look at the DLC and a second look after it was named: The Golems of Amgarrak.

[Interview] BioWare co-founder Dr. Greg Zeschuk: BioWare’s co-founder and vice president hooked up with videogamer.com to talk about an array of topics and confirmed near the end of of the interview that yes, romances will definitely be a part of Dragon Age 2. There’s a lot of good stuff packed into this three-page interview.

[Poll] Will You Boycott DA2?: Over at the BioWare forums, a member wanted to find out “how the hardcore fans feel” about the new title. A majority of people have a favorable opinion of the sequel: results from this morning show that 62 percent of 1,209 respondents “Like what I’ve seen and will buy DA2.” Take an opportunity and vote and check the recent results yourself. Our poll here at greywardens.com shows that 60 percent think that the game will be either “amazing” or “decent,” while 28 percent think it’s too early to tell.

[Video] Dragon Age 2 Development: GameInformer recorded a video highlighting some of the developers working on audio, art and mechanics of the game. We posted up the video for you to check out.
