Dragon Age: Origins data servers will be undergoing upgrade/maintenance starting at 11PM Eastern Standard Time on November 7, 2009. The process is slated to take up a 12 hour window (Ending at 11AM Eastern Standard time, November 8 ) but BioWare is hopeful that the time needed will be much less.

Dragon Age: Origins – Hands On (PC)

Most of the world managed to get their hands onto Dragon Age: Origins yesterday when the game officially launched. Some people had the game for a little while beforehand, mainly due to stores not honoring the street date, but yesterday was the Big Day for Dragon Age. I spent most of yesterday morning staying away from my computer and awaiting for my Direct2Drive download to unlock, I then spent another 2 hours afterward waiting for some kinks in the BioWare social site to get ironed out.

I will warn you all now that this post may be a tad overly enthusiastic, this is because I haven’t had a game come along in many years that has met my expectations to the level that Dragon Age has, I will keep it spoiler free though.

Article: The DLC Debate

It is pretty common knowledge now that Dragon Age: Origins will launch with downloadable content (DLC) available on Day 1. This snippet of information has caused some controversy across various forums, people don’t like the idea of a game launching with part of its content requiring additional money to use.

What I am going to attempt to do in this article is explain the facts behind the DLC, and show people what exactly is involved.
