A few minutes ago BioWare released the long awaited patch version 1.03 for both the PC and the Xbox360 version of Dragon Age: Origins. Along with a number of bugfixed and improvements made to the original code this patch also prepares the client for the upcoming expansion Awakening.

With all the bad luck they have been receiving of late, it is about time PS3 fans got something nice for a change and the PS3 Dragon Age Patch is certainly that!

While others have already downloaded, tested, played and enjoyed Return to Ostagar, the Playstation 3 Playerbase is still waiting for the DLC. However, it should be clear by now that BioWare has no control over the PS3 delay. One of the bigger questions surfacing right now among the Community is: “Will the PS3 release for Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening also suffer from a delay?”

Scant moments ago BioWare’s Community Facilitor, Victor Wachter, posted his eagerly awaited announcement on BioWare’s popular Social Network. In recent weeks, many have criticised BioWare in being too miserly when it comes to providing the community with information, yet while it is far too early to say, appearances do suggest that the company has learned it’s lesson.

The German GameStop and Amazon websites list special bonus items for every pre-ordered version of Dragon Age: Origins – Awakening. Similiar to the process of Dragon Age: Origins base game prior to its release, where you could obtain bonus items if you had pre-ordered the game.

Dragon Age: Origins’ first boxed expansion, Awakening, is now ready for pre-order on Steam for $39.99/€29.99/£19.99. Additionally, the official System Requirements have been made public.
