Mage
The mage class is one of the three starting classes of Dragon Age: Origins. In order to qualify to be a mage, one must be either an elf or a human, and one will have to choose the Mage origin. Dwarves are unable to connect with the Fade and therefore unable to become mages. While Dalish elves do have magic users in their tribes, all elf mages in DA:O are assumed to have come from an Alienage.
As dangerous as it is potent, magic is a curse for those lacking the will to wield it.
Malevolent spirits that wish to enter the world of the living are drawn to mages like beacons, putting the mage and everyone nearby I constant jeopardy.
Because of this, mages tend to lead lives of isolation, locked away from the world they threaten. Specializations include shifter and spirit healer. A person who is able to interact with the forces of magic is called a mage.
Class benefits:
+5 Magic
+4 Willpower
+1 Cunning

My mage is one big fail, dual spec Shapeshifter-Arcane Warrior, but has one point on each of those talents -.- It was extremely painful experience playing with that mage, but hey, it was my first char. Level 20, 56hours /played. I'm thinking of starting another one on hard difficulty, Arcane Warrior-Blood Mage as soon as I finish the game second time with my Ranger-Bard. Anyone tried that combination yet?
