Armor pieces will slightly alter base appearance

BioWare has said that developing the next game will be a labor of finding a balance between the good aspects of both Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2. So following a short reveal at PAX East, writer David Gaider dropped a blog post to explain a little more about how new armor customization is going to work out in the next Dragon Age game. And from the quick explanation here, it sounds like the balancing act is already meeting success.

Cassandra's Past Comes to Light in Funimation's Feature Film

Friday April 6th, BioWare and Funimation were on hand at PAX East to premiere Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker, a feature-length anime-style film centering on characters and settings from the Dragon Age world. Fans were treated to a behind the scenes, making of-styled teaser a few months back, but Friday’s viewing showed the entire movie. Coming on the tail of the BioWare panel focused on all things Dragon Age, Dawn of the Seeker filled in some gaps, raised more questions, and offered new insights into the secretive order of Seekers and their role in Thedas.

PAX East is big weekend for BioWare

This past weekend, the city of Boston hosted both Anime Boston and PAX East. Fans of anime and games descended upon the city for a weekend of rocking out with friends new and old. So where was this gal? At PAX East of course! I’d planned to go anyway, but when the schedule was released and I saw that BioWare, and moreover, Dragon Age, was on it the deal was sealed. This weekend proved big for BioWare fans who packed huge conference rooms for discussions on Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and a viewing of the new Funimation feature Dragon Age: Dawn of the Seeker.

Build Your Own Legend in Thedas' Facebook Game

Dragon Age Legends is here! This new Facebook game from BioWare and EA2D puts you in charge of a hero of the Free Marches – a powerful warrior, rogue or mage recruited by local icon Viscount Ravi to eradicate the darkspawn threat and save the city-state of Kaiten. The game world is recognizable to anyone who’s set foot in Thedas before, and although the scenery is no longer the brown hills of Ferelden, the characters, lore and monsters will be familiar.

I don't have much to spare

I know the history of video games is longer than this, but for me, the true rise of the industry came with the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985. I was born in ’86 and remember growing up with the NES in my home. Video game technology has advanced grown as I’ve grown and gaming is now a multi-billion dollar industry. It’s been my favorite hobby for how long, but now I’ve grown up to the point where playing games until the sun comes up is mostly over. So while I’m thinking about Dragon Age 3 and, in fact, all video game releases, I have one idea for developers — don’t waste my time.
