There have been rumors of a Mac platform release on or around Dragon Age 2′s official launch date, but GameTree Mac has just confirmed that DA2 will be releasing as a digital download for Mac on March 8th. Visit the GameTree website for pre-order information.

UPDATE: BioWare has announced that the Mac version of the game is on the same CD as the PC version.

Demo will release Feb. 22 to all platforms

First a foreign site leak, then a GameStop leak and now an official press release from EA Germany says it: a Dragon Age 2 demo is coming. The demo will release Feb. 22 on all three platforms.

Although the Feb. 1 announcement was something of a bust, forumites have maybe broken news about a Dragon Age 2 demo. Through a leaked GameStop employee information posting, a demo for the game is supposedly going to be released to the public on Feb. 23, about two weeks before the total game drops on March 8 in North America.

Perhaps you remember this cryptic insert in copies of Awakening? Well, the time has come and everyone is abuzz with expectations. The Dragon Age: Legends Facebook page hinted yesterday “Tomorrow’s going to be exciting …” Will Dragon Age: Legends (currently in beta) premier or will the much rumored demo be made available? Or was it an early guess at a release date for Dragon Age 2 that no longer has any meaning?

UPDATE: The official announcement is that the Dragon Age: Legends closed beta is live. (Although, it actually has been live for a week or two already…) And yes, forum outrage has followed.
