BioWare's second Dragon Age 2 podcast with new race concept art

A big point of focus for BioWare in Dragon Age 2 is going to be refining and defining the art style. The developers themselves have admitted they weren’t completely satisfied with the look of Dragon Age: Origins. Yesterday we got a glimpse of Jerrik Dace, who has called for the Wardens’ help in the search and rescue mission to the lost thaig of Amgarrak. Today, BioWare posted details about his missing younger brother, who was one of many lost in an excursion in the Deep Roads. Jerrik is certain his brother didn’t just disappear and is leading the search for him – a sign of a relationship not shared by many siblings of the dwarven nobility.

Why past choices can't make major future storylines

As fans are chatting up the forums about Dragon Age 2 and new DLCs, you can hardly avoid mentions and wishes of “god baby.” BioWare didn’t help stem the speculation either, by mentioning that “We are certainly not done with Morrigan’s story.” But the whole idea of expanding on the god baby storyline in the future presents with one major problem – what if you rejected Morrigan? The thought made me realize that past choices logically can’t shape future major storylines and remain fair to all players.

The leader of the expedition to Amgarrak

BioWare updated its official wiki today with an entry about Jerrik Dace, the driving force behind the upcoming DLC package The Golems of Amgarrak. Jerrik, who is searching for his missing brother Brogan, is also rumored to be in search of Amgarrak, which, like most of the dwarves’ thaigs, was lost to the darkspawn long ago. A fierce warrior and a potential political upstart, meet the dwarf who will be guiding your Wardens into the merciless depths of the Deep Roads.
